Hi Lavs! Happy new year! 
Hope you had an amazing 2016 and I hope 2017 will be even better for all of us

Speaking of beauty products... Last year, I didn't shop much for beauty products as I decided to finish most of my products. Now that I finished some of my products and I really do need to buy a few things,  I think it will be fun to make 2017 beauty wish list instead. 
Here we go ! :)




Chloe perfume 
I've always been in search of my 'signature scent'. I want to have a signature scent that is feminine, sweet but still fresh and not too overwhelming (cos you know some of the sweet scents can make you a lil dizzy). I researched about it on several websites and blogs, and chloe perfume is one of the top suggestions. Went to sephora, tried it out and guuurl, i fell in love. I think i will grab the roller ball version, simply because i still want to try some other perfumes out there (especially curious about viktor&rolf flowerbomb). Please tell me if you have tried this perfume before!

Maybelline fit me concealer / la girl pro conceal
I ran out of my last concealer maybe like 6 months ago? and for some reason I never bought another concealer. I realized most of the concealer that I used are for under eyes and I never really tried the ones for spot concealing, so I think it is the time to try a few.:) 
I tried the other versions of maybelline concealer in the past (the age rewind and dream lumi) and i think both are good quality. This concealer is especially raved on youtube on beauty blogs so i thought why not? So im gonna be trying this one soon :)
The la girl pro conceal also get rave review and it is so affordable! So i am curious on how good it is. 


Rosegold makeup brushes 
Zoeva brushes & oval brushes
Can we just appreciate how pretty these brushes areeee and that is exactly why i want these babies. Not that i need it or anything hahaha this also applies to the Real Techniques metal collection in rosegold. Let's see whether this will stay on my wishlist or end up on my already-over-crowded makeup table haha. If i happen to get one of these rosegold babies i think i'll opt for the zoeva and oval, zoeva would be nice cause it's compact and oval would be interesting to try out because of its unusual shape. I'll probably find the dupes of these two in ebay tho ;)


Facial cleansing brushes
Sooo i just watched weightlifting fairy kim bok joo (that explains the picture of the girl, please comment if you watch it too!) and it is a reminder for me to take a better care for my skin. I think other than a good set of skincare you also need to clean your face properly and that is why i am looking for a facial cleansing brushes for daily use. 



Full coverage drugstore foundation
Milani 2 in 1 foundation / Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation
Been using the revlon colorstay for my go-to-full-coverage foundation for the longest time so i think 2017 is time for a change. Even though, I do have the famous makeup forever foundation (that was a gift from my friend, thank you!) but i only use it for special occasion and i do think i need a drugstore option for a regular weekend use. I read reviews about this milani and covergirl foundation and i think they will be ones that are worth to try out.

Hi Lavs!

October is here (crazy how this year almost ends eh?) and i don't know about you, but my weekends are packed with weddings! Despite the fact that I absolutely love getting ready for a wedding party, there's always times when I'm stressed out cos I feel like I have nothing to wear! Because you know, you take a lot of pictures in weddings, and it will be better if I can use different dress for different weddings right? :)

Few days ago, Fashionmia contacted me to check out their items and I am more than glad to share some of my faves with you all :)

I know some of you just had your holiday and I hope you all had a blast :)
Now most of us are back to our daily routine and I know that online shopping is one of those things that can brighten up your crazy busy day!

To be completely honest, I prefer real shopping rather than online shopping, but I do shop online once in a while because stuff in online shops are usually more unique and also cheaper! It also comes handy when I have no time to explore shops to find items urgently.

Thus, here are some tips for you to shop online.

1) Read, read, read, ask and read again
Reading all the descriptions of the item that you want to buy is so important. Whether it is makeup or clothing, make sure you read all of the descriptions. Reading reviews are also important because you can get different point of views of the product. If you still have questions regarding the product, make sure you ask the shop about more details, most of online shops will get back to you with answers.
Make sure you also read the shipping and return policy :)


2) Want to get cheap price? Look for wholesale clothing shop
Wholesale clothing is for sure gonna be cheaper than retail shop. Apparel Candy is one of the wholesale clothing shop that sell clothes, accessories, shoes, handbags and even sunglasses. I find their items are so in line with the current trends. Here are some of my cute finds.

           

                 
Obviously the price will be a lot cheaper when you buy the items in bulk in wholesale shop, so my wholesale clothing tips is to gather your friends who wants to buy the same item and go place an order!


3) It is better to be safe than sorry
Learn to protect your private details. It is better not to use your original name and all your personal details for online shopping purposes. Also, most online shops only need your email to make a purchase, so let's be a smart shopper ;)

Hi Lavs!
Working out. Yep, it is something that we know truly important and needed by our body, but it is just something that most people struggle with. The time, the effort, the motivation just seem a little too much sometimes. For me, the biggest problem lies in the motivation part. I often lose the motivation to exercise, so I don’t find the time and make the effort. With that being said, these are the tips that I find helpful to be more motivated to work out!


1) Have a work out buddy


Having a buddy in everything is always nice. In working out especially, having a buddy with the same goal will help you to be reminded and not to slack off. If all of your buddies are too busy, you can find a youtube persona that feels like a buddy to you. I find Cassey Ho from blogilates is really friend-like and following her exercise feels like exercising with your friend. 


2) Buy a cute work out outfit

By having a cute work out outfit, you will be more excited to do some exercise. You can buy some cute work out tank, yoga mat, and shoes.
Do check out MatahariMall.com for a huge selection of work out outfit.
They have a lot of brands and designs for you to choose from.  
For shoes, make sure find the one that is not only cute but also comfortable to wear. Check out this link (sepatu adidas classic) to find cute and comfortable work out shoes.


             

3) Take note of your work out session


Do your best to take note of the date and what kind of exercise you do. This will help you to stay on track. How does taking note help you to stay on track?
For me personally, I usually work out using Nintendo Wii, so the device will automatically keep track of my exercise session. For the game that I play in Nintendo Wii, it also tells me how many calories I burn in a session and how much progress I make. It also tells me how long I’ve been going without exercising (this part is embarrassing, but effective to let you feel guilty for not exercising for too long).


4) Find a form of exercise that you truly enjoy


I find walking, playing wii and doing core/glutes exercises while laying down and watching my TV shows are the ones I truly enjoy. I believe just there is at least one exercise that you all can truly enjoy, you just need to try and test it out!


5) Remind yourself, exercise is always good and will bring result (mostly, in the long run)

I am the kind of person who like seeing result and I kind of had that mind set for exercise as well. I thought if I don’t see result, I am doing something wrong. I wanted to see my body slim down and be more toned after 1 week of constant exercise, but my friends, let me tell you that is not the case for exercise. Exercise is more on the progress. You got to enjoy it and know that it has all the benefits for your body. I know one of them is exercise will make you happier!

Hi Lavs!

As you may (or may not) know already, I recently realized how important it is to take care of our skin.
I find that skin care is actually far more important than makeup itself, because without good skin the makeup also won't apply as nice. Talking about skin, sometimes we often be too focused on our face and forget to take care of our body, I admit I am one of those people haha.

My skin is currently very dry and I think there is a lot of dead skin :/
I used argan oil for my moisturizer every night, but unfortunately the improvement is not that significant.

Just then, SUGAR CANDY contacted me to review their products and of course I said yes :)

I chose their SUGAR SCRUB in COFFEE



*   PRODUCT   *


They come in the cutest packaging. I wonder how much time and effort they put to personally pack this scrub.


What you get in the pack is one jar of the powder scrub and a small plastic spoon to scoop the product out. They also give you a thank you card, a sticker and a sheet containing explanations about the product and how to use it. I like how thoughtful they are to include a spoon, so it will be easier for us to take the product out.

       
The jar is made from plastic and has a secure lid, so no worries of broken jar or product spilling during shipment. I think this amount can give me +/- 40 uses. It retails for IDR 65.000 so I think it is a pretty good price.

*    APPLICATION   *


                               
Take 2/3 spoonful of the scrub and put in inside a bowl

                       
Put in a little water and mix until there is no more powder

 This is the consistency that I like

For application, I usually just take two spoonful of product, pour it into a bowl and mix it with water until it become a paste. I like the way this scrub applies, it has just the right amount of grittiness where your skin really feel exfoliated, but not until you feel hurt. I recommend to use this in the shower before bath since it can get pretty messy. I personally like to use it in the shower because all the mess will be gone with just a few pours of water.


*    BEFORE AFTER   *

I do feel that my skin become smoother to touch right after using this scrub and hop out of the shower. I've been using it religiously and noticed that my skin is not as dry as before (but I also use other moisturizing products (here) that may help).


*    OVERALL   *

I like this scrub! It makes my skin less dry and smoother to touch. I think I might repurchase this scrub. One thing for sure, you have to use this scrub regularly to experience the maximum result!

Hi Lavs!

Finally fulfilling my promise to review this drugstore concealer that I got from my last drugstore haul (read here). 
It's the  POND'S PIMPLE CARE AND COVER CONCEALER PEN.  

To be honest, I finish my first purchase and decided to re-purchase, and now I'm on my second one. Is it because this product is my new holy grail drugstore concealer?

PRODUCT DETAILS


I am really excited when I finally found another drugstore concealer. I know I'm pretty late, but I am happy nonetheless. I first bought this concealer at Food Hall and I assume every supermarket will carry this product, but unfortunately, when I wanted to repurchase, it was not available at Hypermart. Then I tried my luck at Indomaret, it was not available too. Lucky me when I was strolling at another Hypermart, I caught my eyes on this product and snatched it right away. 
I should say that the availability of this product is so-so, so I suggest you go to supermarket if you want to make a purchase. 

The price point is very affordable, I forgot exactly how much, but I'd say roughly less than  IDR 30.000.

PACKAGING



The packaging is a white plastic pen type that you need to twist to get the product out (like lipstick packaging). I love the fact that the packaging is slim and small enough to fit in my everyday emergency touch up bag without being too bulky. The cap is also sturdy enough to stay in place and keep the product covered. Until now, there is no mess in my makeup bag :)

PRODUCT



Now, let's finally talk about the main thing, the product it self.


This product is made especially to cover your imperfections, but I do use it on my dark circles as well.



Color wise, it blends well with my skin. So if you have fair to medium skin, I think you can make this work.


Coverage is medium, pimple marks can be covered, but not so well.
Staying power is not great. If you have oily skin like me, it will be separated after a few hours.
Oil control is zero I would say, so definitely set your skin with powder afterwards.
They say it is pimple care and cover, but I am not really sure that this product will solve acne problems. The good thing though is it does not break me out.



Now maybe you ask why did I repurchase this product? I'd say it is good to keep in your every day makeup bag to do touch up through out the day, or if you suddenly have an important meeting or an unexpected night out.


It is very affordable and efficiently packaged to be my emergency touch up tool.
